The identity of Nanakuli Decor is rooted in a unique intersection of history, discipline, and coastal artistry.
Our founder was raised just outside of Boston, Massachusetts, deeply influenced by the enduring presence of colonial architecture, historic estates, and antique craftsmanship. That appreciation for things built to withstand centuries became a lifelong obsession. Later, after his service in the U.S. Marine Corps, he lived on the rugged coast of Oahu, Hawaii. It was there, in the quiet beach town of Nanakuli, that he mastered the precise arts of ornamental metal fabrication, industrial coating, and architectural finishing.
Nanakuli Decor was born from the blending of these two distinct worlds: the structural permanence of historic New England design, combined with the raw, timeless character of the Pacific coast.
